Niko Romm is the first full-time Neuro-Athletic Trainer in the German Football Bundesliga. From his perspective, performance consists of several components that are rarely specifically trained. This includes, for example, the targeted training of all sensory organs. Neuro-Athletics, with the help of sensory stimuli, makes it possible to improve, among other things, perception speed and accuracy. Another major topic is “motor control” – meaning those areas in the brain responsible for the targeted activation of individual muscles. This component is essential for injury prevention.
